Theme: Strengthening Family Medicine Practice Through Technical Collaboration
The Mesyuarat Teknikal Pakar-Pakar Perubatan Keluarga Negeri Sabah Bil. 3/2025, organized by the Sabah State Health Department, served as a key platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and updates in family medicine practice.
This two-day meeting brought together family medicine specialists from across the state to address clinical, technical, and operational issues shaping healthcare delivery. Day 1 centered on reviewing previous meeting minutes, quality assurance, research updates, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions, including complex Implanon insertion and removal. Day 2 featured high-level discussions with the Deputy Director of Health (Public Health), Sabah, alongside the launch of major clinical guidelines such as the SOSCG 5th Edition, the Early Childhood Language Delay Intervention Manual, and the Neonatal Phototherapy Service Manual. CME sessions also highlighted advances in empagliflozin therapy, scabies treatment, cardiovascular care, and paediatric TB management.
By fostering professional dialogue and aligning clinical practices with state and national priorities, the meeting reinforced the commitment to advancing family medicine and improving patient care throughout Sabah.
